In this role, you will help keep field technicians and service teams supplied by delivering parts accurately and on time between company branches, vendors, and field locations. The position includes use of a company vehicle and gas card, both picked up from the Lansing office each morning and returned at the end of the shift. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently while traveling across the region. This part-time role averages 20-25 hours per week, with a typical schedule of approximately 9:00 AM-1 PM Monday to Friday. Flexibility is available if a day off is needed. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys driving, staying active, and contributing to smooth day-to-day operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Pick up and deliver parts between company locations, vendors, and field technicians. Ensure accurate handling, tracking, and delivery of all parts. Assist with organizing and maintaining parts inventory as needed. Communicate with the service team to prioritize urgent requests. Maintain a clean driving record and operate company vehicle safely. Support general parts and warehouse needs during downtime. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Strong organizational and time management skills. Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills. Ability to safely move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Basic computer and mobile device proficiency. Familiarity with the Lower Michigan region preferred.
Education/License/Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent education required. Valid Driver's License with a good driving record required. No DUI's in the past 5 years. Previous delivery, warehouse, logistics, inventory, or customer service experience preferred. Experience operating company vehicles safely and professionally preferred.
