Job Description
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School graduate or equivalent.REQUIRED
Valid Michigan Driver's license and a driving record that allows Covenant HealthCare's auto insurance carrier to provide insurance coverage. P revious experience as a courier, preferred.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE
Must have working knowledge of area or the ability to read navigational maps. Must have a strong knowledge of regulations (State & Hospital) for transporting specimens, including biohazard materials. Self-Organized, ability to multi task and prioritize. Must maintain a clean driving record. Must be able to record and log equipment operational status. Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. To maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards. Excellent verbal communication skills with demonstrated capabilities in follow-up activities. Must be a team player with the ability to work independently as well as in the Courier team.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to maintain punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Constant lifting up to 25 lbs. Constant visual accommodation, color vision and field of vison Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing Frequent pulling, climbing, balancing, twisting, handling, talking Frequent hearing, near vision, midrange vision, far vision and depth perception Occasional stooping, reaching and feeling Work exposed to natural elements.PHYSICAL LEVEL II
