Cargo Van Delivery Driver / Courier (1099 Contractor) Gipson Motor Carriers LLC Fridley, MN Job Details Full-time | Contract $500 - $2,000 a week 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Box truck Outdoor work Driver's License Manual handling Time management Full Job Description Job description We are seeking a reliable and experienced Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with deliveries and possess a cargo van, as well as a valid driver's license. This position will require you to load and unload packages, drive set routes, and work in a warehouse environment. As a 1099 contractor, drivers are responsible for their own vehicle and gas. The driver's day ends depending on their own productivity. Must pass background check.
Responsibilities:
DRIVE YOUR OWN VEHICLE
to transport packages to their destination Ability to pay for your own fuel Deliver 50 - 150 packages a day. Stops typically 2-3 mins apart. Load and unload packages from the vehicle Plan and follow set routes to ensure timely delivery of packages Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups using smart device Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status Adhere to all safety procedures and traffic laws Be willing to work in all weather conditions Be willing to work 7 days during peak season Bring a great attitude and a strong work ethic Expectation is routes are 99.5% delivered . (Unfinished route = last day of work) 100% of deliveries completed with scanning device. No manual deliveries. Verify delivery address before completing deliveries Correct your own mistakes (Go back to delivery addresses if necessary) Complete deliveries before 8:00
PM Cutoff Skills:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Own vehicle insurance is a must Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Excellent time management skills Strong communication skills Ability to work independently Ability to provide your own vehicle and pay for your own gas
