Department Plant Operations Opening Date 04/20/2026 DESCRIPTION BENEFITS The position is responsible for the daily and weekly functions of the Central Processing Department (CPC) and internal College courier service directed by the Plant Operations Department. Responsibilities include maintaining internal mail/delivery services, delivering equipment, supplies, books, packages/mail, etc. This is a full-time, hourly position and is covered by the Public Education Employee Retirement System of Missouri (PEERS). Required Qualifications:
This position requiresanizational, clerical, andputer skills, excellent interpersonal skills, mailroom skills, be able to traverse and access all MACC facilities at each of the 5 locations, operate office equipment, maintain confidentiality, and drive college vans. The employee must hold a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be able to lift 40 lbs. The position requires logistics that involve: bending, reaching, moving carts, and driving up to 840 miles each week to cover three days of courier services.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education and/or experience beyond minimum requirements of a high school diploma or equivalent. Job Responsibilities Principle Duties and Responsibilities for
CPC and Courier Services:
CPC Sort and distribute college mail and process mail for USPS and other mail services; Deliver mail to the Post Office. Certified receipts from the Post Office are to be sent to the department/person sending it and copy made for CPC records; Fulfill copy paper requests for faculty and staff (including binding, hole-punching, cutting, etc.). Copy jobs are to be delivered by CPC unless supervisor has approved other means; Fulfill College bulk copy paper delivery requests sent through the College work ticket system; Perform general duties: Filing, maintaining production logs, monthly copy report, monthly paper delivery report, and monthly postage report; Check in delivery trucks and log all deliveries made. Deliver packages and boxes to appropriate departments; appropriatepany for copy machine and postage machine maintenance and supplies; Order postage for postage machine; Assist with data entry, updating revisions to the college inventory system; Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Operations Department; Courier Services Transport mail, books, equipment, supplies, and other needed items between all five MACC locations on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week unless specified otherwise.
MACC locations include:
Moberly, Kirksville, Hannibal, Mexico, and Columbia. Mileage round trip per route is around 280 miles for a total of 840 maximum miles per week. Be responsible for good condition and timely delivery of items entrusted in their care; Be responsible for refueling and creating work tickets for courier van maintenance (oil change, vacuuming, etc.); Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Operations Department.
