Report Address Durham, North Carolina Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of vehicles including trucks with manual transmissions, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized freight vehicles. Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and weight limits. Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at multiple destinations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each route driven. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during route driving to ensure safe transportation at all times. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving or truck driving roles with a focus on route efficiency. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and handling various truck types such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or freight carriers. Knowledge of freight handling including load & unload procedures across different cargo types. Strong organizational skills for route planning, documentation, and compliance with transportation regulations.
