As a courier driver, you'll be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries that keep our clients satisfied. Your role is vital in maintaining smooth logistics operations and providing outstanding customer experiences every day. Duties Safely operate your vehicle to pick up in Durham at 8 a.m. and deliver packages in surrounding areas Load and unload shipments with care Plan and follow efficient route driving strategies to maximize delivery productivity and meet scheduled deadlines; all packages must be delivered by 9 p.m. Provide excellent customer service with clients during deliveries Handle heavy lifting and moving tasks safely, adhering to proper manual handling procedures Accurately delivery packages and document with proper photos for tracking purposes Conduct vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly Maintain active phone service Qualifications Experience as a delivery driver or courier is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Experience with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading and equipment like pallet jacks is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to lift heavy packages regularly and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods Knowledge of route driving best practices to optimize delivery schedule Must have minivan, cargo van, or SUV Pay Pay is $2 a stop with average daily pay being $150 (increase to $200 daily during the holiday season) This is a 1099 contract This route is with Ontrac and they charge a $47.50 fee weekly for insurance If you're energized by delivering excellence on the road, we want to hear from you!
