Courier,Pharmacy

Responsibilities:

Makes regular stops at various offices, patient units, hospital divisions and designated areas for pickup and delivery of mail, lab specimens, x-rays, medical charts and medications, and receives incoming patient mail Reviews and separates mail for delivery Delivers mail and items to correct locations throughout hospital and outside locations in a timely manner Transports patients to and from patient units for tests, procedures and therapeutic activities Assists patients to and from hospital bed Answers department telephone, provides information, refers telephone calls to appropriate staff members Distributes and completes forms required for patient transport and mail services Monitors and documents deliveries Drives delivery vehicles as needed for special deliveries

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum one year working as a courier, preferably six months in a hospital setting.

Education:

High School Diploma
