Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Passionate about supporting students and making a meaningful impact each day? Travel as a dedicated paraprofessional, assisting with daily student transportation. This contract opportunity involves accompanying a student on their bus route, ensuring a safe, supportive environment from pickup to drop-off and back.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as a paraprofessional or teacher's aide, preferably in an educational or special education setting Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a commitment to student well-being Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families Comfortable with travel and flexible to adapt to varying daily routines Must meet background check requirements and any applicable state or district clearances
What You'll Do:
Support a student during daily transportation between their home in Monessen and school in Greensburg Assist with the morning pickup at 7:30 AM, accompany the student to and from school, following all safety procedures Build rapport and create a positive, encouraging atmosphere on each ride Ensure the student's needs are met, monitoring for safety, and intervening appropriately when needed Document daily activities and report observations to appropriate school staff Commit to at least four hours per day, split between morning and afternoon travel schedules
