Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Medical Courier, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and equipment. This position offers an energetic environment focused on precision, safety, and excellent customer service. As a Medical Courier, you will be responsible for delivering sensitive medical items efficiently while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Your dedication will directly impact patient care and healthcare operations by maintaining reliable delivery schedules and handling medical materials with care. You must have a reliable car, cell phone and EIN number. Must be willing to complete a background check and drug screening upon hire. A Flu vaccination and driving record is required yearly for this position. Hours needed for this position is Monday through Friday from 3pm-9pm. Responsibilities Safely operate your own personal vehicles, to transport medical supplies and specimens between healthcare facilities, laboratories, and pharmacies. Load, unload, and secure medical items using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as hand carts when necessary. Follow prescribed routes diligently, utilizing mobile devices for navigation and communication to ensure on-time deliveries. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safety protocols during all driving activities. Maintain accurate delivery documentation Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety and report any maintenance needs promptly. Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with healthcare staff and clients during deliveries. Requirements Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services, preferably within a healthcare or warehouse environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with deliveries is desired but not required Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper lifting practices; experience with manual handling and moving heavy loads is essential. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Experience operating mobile devices for route navigation and communication during deliveries. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients and healthcare personnel. Ability to adhere to strict safety standards, traffic regulations, and company policies at all times.
