Medical Courier with General Maintenance Skills Metropolitan Kidney Centers is looking to hire a medical courier with general maintenance experience and excellent organizational skills. Medical couriers are expected to have excellent communication and critical thinking skills for problem solving. Applicant must have excellent work ethic standards (r eliability, determination, intrinsic motivation ).

Medical Courier Responsibilities:

Receiving medical items and understanding instructions from the healthcare facility. Ensuring that medical items are securely stored in the delivery vehicle. Ensuring that the documentation corresponds to each item. Ensuring that all documentation is credible and accurate. Mapping out a route to the destination. Ensuring the punctual collection and delivery of medical items from the healthcare facility. Ensuring that recipients sign delivery receipts and designations are verified. Ensuring the safety of each item delivered. Accurately counting and taking inventory of medical items in facilities and/or delivered items. Performing all duties within HIPAA regulations.

General Maintenance Responsibilities:

Inspect and Diagnose :

Check systems, run diagnostic tests, and identify the root cause of mechanical, electrical, or technical errors.

Read Manuals :

Follow blueprints, repair guides, and manufacturer specifications.

Repair and Maintain :

Fix broken parts, replace faulty components, and perform routine preventative maintenance.

Document Work :

Write service reports, log maintenance activities, and record parts used.

Position Requirements:

Valid driver's license and clean driving record (essential). 2 years of experience as a medical courier and general maintenance (essential). Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills. Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task. Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills. Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to urgent situations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work unsupervised with emphasis on punctuality. Physically fit with the ability to safely climb ladder, lift arms above head (change air filters), and lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis. Passionate about work ethic and healthcare efficiency.
