Purpose Safely and efficiently transport and deliver products, material and equipment to customers on campus while providing excellent customer service, maintaining accurate delivery records, and ensuring compliance with all transportation and safety regulations. Responsibilities Assists in sorting, processing, and distributing incoming and outgoing packages. Load, unload and secure cargo to prevent damage during transit. Provide professional, courteous, and responsive customer service during all customer interactions. Obtain required signatures and delivery confirmations. Operates university vehicle when making pickups and deliveries on predetermined schedules and routes. Records vehicle mileage and reports all accidents and maintenance of vehicle (cleaning and repairs) to immediate supervisor. Assists with the preparation of outgoing shipments. Supports the warehouse operations during non-delivery periods. Collaborate with staff and supervisors to ensure efficient operations. Perform special deliveries or pickups as assigned. Assist with warehouse organization and cleanup. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Diploma (High School) or GED and at least 1 year of experience in stock handling, experience with office and postal equipment, accounting for property, and maintaining records. 6 months of work experience in courier or delivery service. Demonstrated organization and time management skills, including the ability to minimize the workload of others. Ability to adapt to change and maintain flexibility. Ability to communicate with customers and provide a high level of customer service. Ability to work in a team environment which includes receive direction, cooperate with supervisor, co-workers and work independently. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications One year direct work experience with warehouse equipment, stock handling and maintaining records. Delivery driver experience. Box Truck driving experience. Driving Required Yes-Texas Class C, Driver's License Salary Range $41,600 + depending on qualifications Working Conditions This position is located on Campus- Montopolis Research Center-MR1 Considerable time spent lifting, bending, stooping, and standing.
Employment Eligibility:
