Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Job Description:
Performs primary and essential duties as courier; to include loading, sorting, delivering and picking up items from the various Midland Memorial Hospital campuses and offices Demonstrates basic organizational skills when sorting and delivering items during the course of the route. Quickly and efficiently delivers and picks up items, including supplies, mail, reports and other hospital related items. Ensures vehicle is running properly by conducting daily inspection. Exhibits driver safety at all times when behind the wheel of the vehicle. Maintains a professional attitude and high customer service level. Driver's license records check is required.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
Full Time, Monday-Friday, 10:00am-6:00pm
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Distributes items efficiently to proper locations Maintains proper care of vehicles Follows proper paperwork procedures Demonstrates proper lifting and handling of heavy items
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A
mental development equivalent to a high school graduate capable of solving routine, practical problems. Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The individual must be able to Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits
