$13.80 per hour About the Role Burke DD Provider Services is seeking a dependable and professional Courier / Transportation Support Staff member to assist with safe and timely transportation needs for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in Nacogdoches County and surrounding areas. This position supports daily operations by providing transportation to and from approved locations including but not limited to medical appointments, community activities and settings, ISS facilities, and other assigned destinations. What You'll Do Provide safe and reliable transportation for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities receiving services in Nacogdoches County and surrounding areas Transport individuals to approved destinations, including medical appointments, community outings, and daily transport to and from ISS facilities Complete required documentation, mileage logs, and transportation records accurately and timely Promptly report incidents, accidents, delays, behavioral concerns, medical concerns, or safety issues to the appropriate supervisor Follow all Burke policies, traffic laws, and safe driving standards Maintain a professional, respectful, and supportive approach when interacting with individuals served, staff, families, and community partners Provide supervision and support to individuals during transportation services Assist with Personal Assistance Services and Habilitation (PASHAB) activities as assigned What We're Looking For Graduation from an accredited high school or its equivalent Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to document appropriately and maintain detailed records Dependability and professionalism Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules Valid Texas driver's license What Helps You Stand Out One (1) year of responsible experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Experience providing community-based services or transportation assistance Knowledge of IDD services and supports Key Skills Safe transportation and supervision Customer service and communication Documentation and recordkeeping Time management and reliability Community support and habilitation services Adaptability and problem-solving Work Schedule Hours and days may vary depending on consumer needs Appointments and trainings may occur throughout the day Part-time schedule based on service demands Licenses & Certifications Valid Texas driver's license required Must be physically able to complete required training courses, including SAMA, CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, Van Driving, and other required training modules Driving record must be insurable by Burke's insurance administrator Physical Requirements Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively Ability to walk, stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to operate a vehicle safely Ability to perform tasks requiring hand and finger dexterity Why Burke?
