Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for pickup and transport of drinking water and environmental testing samples daily from client facilities and pickup hubs to transport to the employer's laboratory in Poulsbo for analytical testing. This role requires a strong commitment to timely deliveries, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle lifting up to 50 lbs, as needed. If you enjoy driving and working in a fast-paced environment, this position is perfect for you. Responsibilities Safely operate personal vehicle to transport to and from designated locations. Load and unload samples and coolers, ensuring that items are secured properly during transit. Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Communicate effectively with Sample Coordinating staff regarding sample counts delivery status, and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of samples' received, including time, date, and signatures. Assist in sample kit restocking at pickup hubs and client facilities when needed. Qualifications Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance with a clean driving record. Experience in route driving or as a delivery driver is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading tasks. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing sample pickup schedules and documentation. Compensation State minimum wage, plus mileage reimbursement to cover the use of the employee's vehicle, gasoline, vehicle maintenance and other costs of operating the employee's vehicle.
