We are seeking a dependable, high-energy Assistant Store Manager to help lead our team! In this role, you will partner closely with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, run the register, manage our food program, and cultivate a fun, fast-paced work environment. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Teamwork:
Assist in supervising daily store operations, coaching team members, and fostering a fun, energetic team environment to accomplish store goals.
Customer Service & Sales:
Lead by example by greeting customers warmly, processing transactions efficiently, and actively demonstrating suggestive selling techniques to drive store revenue.
Food Program Oversight:
Supervise and support the store's food program, ensuring product quality, proper stocking, and strict compliance with health and food safety regulations.
Operational Excellence:
Manage inventory levels, order stock, open/close the store, and ensure shelves, coolers, and merchandise displays are perfectly maintained.
Compliance & Safety:
Enforce company policies and state laws regarding age-restricted purchases (alcohol/tobacco) and maintain a safe, secure environment for both staff and customers.
Reliability:
Provide regular and predictable on-site attendance, serving as a dependable point of contact when the Store Manager is off-site. What You Are Good At (Qualifications)
Leadership Skills:
Ability to motivate a team, delegate tasks, and handle fast-paced situations with a positive attitude.
Communication & Sales:
Strong people skills, a knack for friendly conversation, and the ability to think quickly to offer product suggestions.
Problem-Solving:
Excellent quick-thinking skills and the ability to resolve customer or operational issues efficiently.
Experience:
Previous experience as a shift lead, supervisor, cashier, or sales associate in a retail/convenience store setting is highly preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Reliability:
Punctual attendance, a strong work ethic, and a flexible schedule. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of a shift (up to 8 hours). Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from the ground to overhead. Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from the ground to waist level. Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds. Schedule Full-time position. Requires a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to support store needs.
