Job Description

at Ricondo & Associates, Inc. in CHICAGO, Illinois, United States Job Description Aviation Consultant. Apply principles of aviation operations management and finance, including airport and airline management, financial modeling, and sustainable transportation system design, and analysis of financial and operational feasibility of airports. Deploy programming language, such as R programming language, in connection with statistical computing and data visualization to determine, optimize, and report air travel demand and other elements of airports and the aviation industry, as well as other determinant factors such as economic drivers and air service networks, in connection with long-term financial planning and studies of airport operations. Provide detailed technical documentation and written analysis outlining independent variables that serve as input for analysis of financial sustainability of airport operations together with results of analysis. Conduct spatial analysis and facility mapping using GIS. Apply ArcGIS to identify landside access to airports and/or the aviation industry and aviation databases, such as TSA Checkpoint Numbers and FRED Jet Fuel Prices, to collect, sort and analyze flight operations data. Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to calculate airport rates and charges, assess debt service coverage, and support capital planning and cash flow projections. Prepare detailed technical documentation and clear written analyses to support decision-making processes. Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or related field required. Must have completed coursework in aviation business, aviation finance, aviation economics, aviation operations management, and financial modeling. Must have proficiency with a) R programming language in analysis of air travel demand and/or other elements of airports and aviation industry; b) applying ArcGIS to identify landside access to airports and/or perform airport catchment area study and c) aviation databases, such as TSA Checkpoint Travel Numbers, to collect, sort, and analyze related data to aircraft/airline/airport operation. Ricondo & Associates, Inc., Chicago, IL. The base pay range for this role is $87,450/year to $118,000/year. The base salary range/hourly rate established for a job offer is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. EOE.
