Join our team at ARMS , where you'll play a vital role in helping patients access life-changing healthcare while ensuring the safe delivery of important medical items across our health centers.
Position Summary:
As a Medical Transportation Driver at ARMS, you'll provide safe, courteous, and timely transportation for patients traveling to and from appointments, as well as deliver medical supplies, medications, mail, and cargo between ARMS locations and designated sites. You'll serve as an extension of our patient care team, bringing professionalism and compassion to every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport patients to/from ARMS health centers or residences, assisting with boarding and exiting as needed Deliver medical supplies, medications, and interoffice mail between ARMS sites and community partners Maintain a daily route schedule and complete transport logs Inspect vehicle before and after use to ensure safety and cleanliness Provide CPR or first aid in emergencies and report incidents promptly Protect confidentiality of patient and organizational information during deliveries Perform light lifting, loading/unloading items, and occasional outreach tasks
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record Current CPR and First Aid certification (BLS) Previous experience transporting passengers, medical materials, or working in customer service preferred Experience driving passenger vans or small buses a plus Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus You're a
