In coordination with regional school districts, this role offers excellent part-time hours for independent operators utilizing their own passenger vehicles. We service a variety of local neighborhoods across the Birmingham metropolitan footprint, specifically managing routes within Hoover, Leeds, Fairfield, Center Point, and Vestavia Hills. Full Program Orientation:
Digital onboarding modules provided to outline route mapping, safety compliance, and operator expectations. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Conduct safe, distraction-free transport of students along designated pickup points. Strictly adhere to pre-planned route timelines and school bell schedules. Maintain a professional, punctual, and reliable communication line with our local dispatch office. Cultivate a safe, supportive, and respectful atmosphere inside your vehicle. Core Onboarding Requirements Minimum age requirement of 21 years old. Active, unrestricted driver's license with a clean historical driving abstract. Modern smartphone with continuous cellular data access for routing applications. Personally owned vehicle with active auto insurance documentation.
Safety Screenings:
Willingness to undergo standard safety background tracking and a drug screening panel. (
Note:
A routine $35 screening processing fee applies and is handled via a convenient deduction from your service invoices once your route schedule commences.) Passenger Vehicle Standards Contractors utilize their personal vehicles for transport.
Permitted vehicle classes include:
Full-Size Sedans Standard and Large SUVs Minivans All contracted vehicles must fulfill these baselines: Manufacturing model year of 2014 or newer. Valid state registration and up-to-date insurance coverage. Excellent mechanical and structural operating health. Completion of a basic vehicle safety inspection certificate.
