Border Tire is all things tire. We are a Michelin Commercial Service Network Dealer (MCSN) specializing in medium-duty, heavy-duty, agricultural, and industrial-size tires. We carry a wide variety of brands to meet your needs. Join the Border Tire team!!! Border Tire is hiring a Pick-Up & Delivery Driver in Phoenix, AZ! The Pick-up & Delivery Driver is responsible for loads, transporting deliveries, and/or picks up tires and equipment for the center to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Must adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws. Picks up and delivers tires and parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors. Checks with the Service Manager and delivery dispatch before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries. Verifies that invoice matches packing slip or invoice for each delivery or pick-up. Checks any payments received with the invoices for each delivery. Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.

Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling the tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed. Advises Service Manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance. Provide excellent customer service. Inspecting, protecting and maintaining company assets, merchandise, vehicles, building and people. Successfully maintaining a distribution log or tracking system to record all deliveries/pick-ups made. Follow all plant safety rules and attend required training as scheduled. Wear all PPE required for the job and comply with all company policies and procedures. Maintain regular and punctual attendance and attend required training as scheduled. Work cooperatively with others. Work overtime and schedule hours as assigned. Must have a current, valid driver's license for the state in which the employee performs his or her driving duties. Must maintain a clean driving record, i.e., must remain insurable under our company's liability insurance policy. Other duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Valid State Driver's License; must meet insurability standards. Must successfully pass background and drug test pre-employment screening. Clean driving record. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Flexible schedule - must be available to work some Saturdays. Must be able to utilize both, manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Previous light truck driving experience. Be reliable and professional. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced retail environment.
