As an NEMT Driver, you will play a vital role in helping members of our community access essential healthcare by providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation to and from medical appointments, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, dialysis centers, outpatient procedures, nursing homes, and other healthcare-related destinations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company expanding into a new service area. Because we are establishing operations in this market, work hours will vary based on trip demand and scheduling needs. We are looking for team members who understand that flexibility is important during this growth phase and who are excited to grow alongside the company as transportation volume increases. Responsibilities Safely transport passengers to and from scheduled medical appointments while following all traffic laws and company safety policies. Provide exceptional customer service by treating every passenger with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion. Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle when appropriate while maintaining their comfort and safety. Secure wheelchairs and other mobility devices according to company procedures and safety regulations when applicable. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are clean, safe, and operating properly. Maintain accurate trip documentation, mileage logs, and required transportation records. Communicate professionally with dispatch regarding trip updates, delays, cancellations, or scheduling changes. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and present a professional appearance at all times. Protect passenger confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA privacy requirements. Respond professionally and calmly to unexpected situations while prioritizing passenger safety. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Excellent driving skills and commitment to safe vehicle operation. Ability to communicate professionally with passengers, healthcare facilities, and dispatch. Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated. Strong customer service skills with a compassionate attitude toward elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and patients requiring transportation assistance. Ability to safely assist passengers with limited mobility when needed. Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for scheduling, navigation, and communication. Flexible availability, including the possibility of early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as business needs require.
