HERO Business Inc. is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to assist with a large-scale equipment removal and cleanout project at a closed hospital facility. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position involving the removal, deinstallation, sorting, moving, loading, and transportation of medical equipment, furniture, supplies, and other materials from a decommissioned hospital wing. What You'll Be Doing Removing medical equipment, furniture, supplies, and miscellaneous materials from a closed hospital wing Moving and transporting equipment throughout the facility and to designated staging, disposal, recycling, or transportation areas Deinstalling equipment and removing items from walls, ceilings, counters, floors, and other mounting locations as directed Removing equipment from tracks, rails, brackets, and mounting systems Safely moving large, heavy, awkward, or bulky equipment Sorting equipment and materials based on whether they will be retained, relocated, recycled, sold, or disposed of Loading and unloading trucks, carts, pallets, dumpsters, and other containers Using hand tools, carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment Keeping work areas organized and maintaining clear pathways throughout the project Following HERO and facility safety procedures at all times Communicating with project leadership regarding progress, issues, damaged equipment, unexpected conditions, and completed work Maintaining a professional attitude while working around HERO personnel, hospital representatives, vendors, and other contractors Physical & Environmental Requirements This is long, arduous, physical work. Applicants should be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods and performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. The position may require frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, carrying, climbing, and moving heavy or awkward objects. Team lifting and material-handling equipment will be used when appropriate. This project takes place in a decommissioned healthcare environment. Workers may encounter dust, debris, contaminated or potentially hazardous materials, and other conditions associated with removing equipment from a former clinical space. Required PPE will be provided by HERO , and all employees will be expected to follow established safety procedures and use appropriate PPE for the work being performed. Employees should never handle unknown materials, sharps, chemicals, biohazardous materials, or other potentially hazardous substances unless specifically trained, authorized, and equipped to do so. What We're Looking For No college degree or specialized education is required. We are primarily looking for people who have: A strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding work Dependable attendance and punctuality Good communication skills Strong follow-up and ability to follow instructions Good customer service and a professional attitude Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to work independently when given a task Attention to detail and respect for the customer's facility and property Willingness to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE Ability to distinguish between equipment designated for relocation, reuse, recycling, or disposal A valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if required for the assignment Preferred Experience Previous experience in any of the following is a plus, but not required: Junk removal or property cleanouts Hospital or healthcare equipment removal Medical equipment moving or installation Commercial moving Warehouse or material handling Construction or demolition Equipment deinstallation Office or facility decommissioning Furniture installation/removal Moving heavy equipment Logistics, loading, or delivery work Experience working inside hospitals or other healthcare facilities is especially valuable.
