Position:

Event Rental Service Driver Responsibilities:

Safe Transportation:

Safely transport party rental equipment, including tents, chairs, tables, and other supplies, to event locations. Adhere to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations while operating company vehicles.

Loading and Unloading:

Accurately load and unload rental equipment, taking utmost care to prevent damage during transit. Use proper lifting and securing techniques to ensure the safety of the equipment.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service by delivering equipment on time and in excellent condition. Interact professionally and courteously with customers, assisting them in setting up and taking down equipment as needed. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and in a friendly manner.

Inspections and Reporting:

Perform routine inspections of rental equipment before and after transportation to identify any maintenance or repair needs. Report any damages, malfunctions, or maintenance requirements promptly to the appropriate department.

Route Planning and Scheduling:

Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Plan efficient routes to optimize time and fuel consumption.

Record-Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery/pickup details. Complete necessary paperwork or digital documentation to ensure accurate billing and inventory tracking.

Warehouse Support:

Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate logistics, inventory management, and scheduling of deliveries. Assist in warehouse duties, such as equipment cleaning, organizing, and maintenance, when required.

Safety Awareness:

Duties:

• Safely and efficiently operate a variety of vehicles, including tow trucks, box trucks, and commercial vehicles
• Transport goods and materials to designated locations
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe transportation
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
• Keep accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance

Experience:

• Previous experience driving tow trucks, box trucks, or commercial vehicles is preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures is a plus
• Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance is desired
• Experience as a yard jockey or in military logistics is beneficial
• Commercial driving experience, such as school bus driving or delivery services, is advantageous

Requirements:
