In this energetic role, you will operate specialized vehicles to transport patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. Duties Safely operate non-emergency vehicles. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, medical staff, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly. Manage heavy lifting tasks when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage, ensuring proper handling techniques are used. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle condition reports in compliance with company policies. Uphold customer service excellence by providing friendly, respectful assistance that fosters trust and comfort for all passengers. Qualifications Valid driver's license, 23 years of age or older, with clean driving record. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, dispatchers, and healthcare providers. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting passengers or handling equipment. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines and basic troubleshooting skills. Prior experience in paratransit services or similar transportation for individuals with mobility needs is highly desirable. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety laws.
