Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Transport Driver to join our team, providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation for patients to and from medical appointments. This vital role ensures that individuals receive timely care while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. As a Medical Transport Driver, you will be the friendly face and dependable driver responsible for navigating various routes with professionalism and care. Your role is essential in supporting healthcare access and enhancing patient experiences through efficient transportation services. Duties Safely operate specialized vehicles such as shuttle vans, paratransit buses, or other commercial transport vehicles to transport patients, staff, and medical supplies. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring comfort and safety during transit. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and passenger details in compliance with company policies and regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns or special needs. Handle heavy lifting of mobility aids or medical equipment when necessary while following proper safety procedures. Uphold customer service excellence by demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and clear communication at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or similar roles such as limousine or school bus driving. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory depending on vehicle size. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, healthcare staff, and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting passengers or handling equipment. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance practices relevant to commercial driving. Experience with paratransit services or specialized transportation is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that reassures passengers during their journey.
