Duties Safely operate leased lunch trucks along designated routes, ensuring punctual deliveries to various locations. Load and unload food supplies and serve customers at specific locations for breakfast and lunch. Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of specialized vehicles. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Navigate routes effectively using GPS or route maps, adjusting as needed for traffic or road conditions to meet delivery schedules. Load and secure freight properly to prevent shifting during transit; ensure all cargo complies with safety regulations. Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery times and address any route adjustments or concerns. Experience Proven experience in truck driving, especially with commercial vehicles. Must have a valid and clean drivers record and over the age of 25. Familiarity with manual transmission trucks carrying heavy loads. Safelyprotocols driving weighted vehicles. Prior delivery driver experience with route driving responsibilities preferred; excellent navigation skills are essential. Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight handling, vehicle operation, and road regulations. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads, standing for long periods, and performing routine vehicle inspections confidently.
