Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. We provide Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) and public transportation services in Charlotte County. We are currently looking for (5) CDL Class B-Passenger Endorsement- Transportation Drivers. ( Full-time and Part-time positions)
Skills and Qualifications:
Driving Skills:
A valid Class B driver's license and a clean driving record are essential. Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is also important.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communication and empathy Skills are crucial for interacting with individuals and their families.
Physical Stamina:
The role often requires physical activity, including lifting and assisting individuals. These duties and responsibilities highlight the critical role medical transportation professionals play in ensuring safe and efficient care within the health care system. Transporting individuals from one destination to another, pick-up/drop-off Assisting individuals in embarking and disembarking the vehicle Ensuring the vehicle is equipped with necessary medical equipment and supplies as needed Performing routine vehicle checks to ensure it is in good working order Adhering to the assigned schedule for pick-ups and drop-offs Maintaining accurate records of transportation activities Ensuring the safety and comfort of the individuals during transportation Complying with health and safety regulations and procedures Handling emergency situations in accordance to protocols
