A Light Truck Delivery Driver drives smaller vehicles, such as vans, pickup trucks, or box trucks, to make local customer deliveries for a business. They may work for courier services, delivery companies, retail stores, or wholesalers, typically making multiple deliveries throughout the day.
Parkside at Budd Terrace is hiring a full-time Ambulette Driver to transport our residents safely and comfortably to and from medical appointments•dialysis, wound care, oncology, cardiology, orthopedics, podiatry, and specialty follow-ups across the Atlanta, GA area. You will report to the facility Administrator and work alongside the nursing and social services teams who schedule each trip. Our residents are older adults living in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) and long-term care (LTC) setting; many use wheelchairs or walkers, some are living with dementia, and nearly all of them will be riding with you regularly enough to know your name. Here is the honest part of the job: you will load and secure wheelchairs, wait at clinics longer than the appointment was supposed to take, and adjust your route when a discharge time slips. What we give back is a well-maintained wheelchair-accessible van, a predictable Monday-through-Friday day shift with no weekends, a scheduling team that builds your route instead of handing you a pile of addresses, and a nursing home where the transport driver is treated as part of the care team, not a delivery service.
