Job Summary Join our team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver and play a vital role in providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for patients requiring non-emergency medical travel. In this energetic and customer-focused position, you will operate passenger vehicles such as vans, to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. Your dedication to adhering to traffic regulations, maintaining vehicle safety, and delivering excellent customer service will ensure a positive experience for every passenger. Duties Safely operate passenger vehicles including vans, for local medical transportation routes. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous support and ensuring their comfort throughout the journey. Follow GPS navigation systems to efficiently plan routes and reach destinations on time while adhering to all traffic laws and state transportation regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met; report any issues promptly. Communicate clearly with clients to confirm appointment details, address questions, and provide exceptional customer service. Manage heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage, ensuring safe manual handling practices. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle condition records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Skills Proven delivery driver experience with familiarity in bus driving, chauffeur driving, or shuttle operations. Experience operating passenger vans for commercial purposes. Strong knowledge of GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to optimize travel efficiency. Ability to adhere strictly to traffic regulations and state transportation laws while maintaining safety at all times. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, client communication, and teamwork within the transportation team. Demonstrated ability in heavy lifting and manual handling to assist passengers with mobility needs safely. Basic vehicle maintenance skills to perform routine checks and identify potential issues early. Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude that ensures passengers feel valued and comfortable during their ride.
