This position involves responding to incidents, assisting motorists in need, and providing timely support to maintain traffic flow. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to public safety.
Shifts:
AM Shift:
5:30 AM-1:30
PM PM Shift:
1:30 PM-9:30 PM Duties Respond promptly to calls for assistance from motorists experiencing vehicle breakdowns or emergencies on highways. Provide basic roadside assistance, including tire changes, jump-starts, and fuel delivery. Assist with traffic control at accident scenes to ensure the safety of all parties involved. Document incidents accurately and report them to the appropriate authorities as needed. Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary to facilitate quick responses to incidents. Educate motorists on safe driving practices and provide information about road conditions. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals. Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus for providing roadside assistance. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting equipment and standing for extended periods. This position is vital for maintaining road safety and providing essential support to motorists in North Carolina.
