Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver, where you will play a vital role in providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services to patients requiring non-emergency medical travel. Responsibilities Safely operate passenger vans to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other non-emergency destinations. Navigate local driving routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems while adhering to all traffic laws and state transportation regulations. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with mobility challenges or special needs, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are met. Communicate clearly with clients regarding pickup times, routes, and any delays; provide excellent customer service with a friendly attitude. Follow all safety protocols related to manual handling and heavy lifting when assisting passengers or loading equipment. Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance logs in compliance with company policies and local regulations. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle driver is highly preferred. Proven ability to operate passenger vehicles such as vans, limousines, or personal cars safely and responsibly. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to ensure timely arrivals. Experience in medical transportation or working with clients requiring special assistance is a strong plus. Knowledge of state transportation regulations and adherence to traffic laws is essential. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and coordination with healthcare providers.
