In this energetic role, you will be an essential part of ensuring timely, safe, and efficient deliveries to customers. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create positive experiences for our customers while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in logistics, driving support, and customer service within a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts Support route driving by helping to organize packages for efficient delivery routes Safely load, transport, and unload packages from box trucks or personal vehicles, adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices Ensure accurate manual handling of heavy items, following safe lifting practices to prevent injury Support delivery drivers in adhering to traffic regulations and safe driving practices during route driving Use mobile devices to track deliveries, update statuses, and communicate with team members effectively Skills Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is highly valued Experience in commercial driving or delivery driver roles, especially with box trucks or personal vehicle delivery, is preferred Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and commercial truck driving regulations (DOT compliance) is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and efficiently Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions during package drop-offs Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or moving carts Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and adherence to traffic laws Comfort using mobile devices for communication and tracking deliveries Ability to follow safety protocols related to weight handling in the workplace and use of manual handling equipment This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in logistics while contributing to a seamless delivery experience.
