NEMT About Us Serafini's Regional Health Transport, LLC. is a locally-owned, non-union transportation company serving the Southern Tier of New York. Our services include Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT), school bus operations, and private charters. We are known for our safety-first approach, reliability and professionalism. Job Summary Assists with transporting clients, ensures adherence to safety rules, and assists passengers in boarding or exiting, as necessary. General Accountabilities Transfers passengers into and out of medical equipment including wheelchairs, stair- chairs and stretchers. Lift passengers up and down stairs in medical equipment. Companion assistant to transport passengers. Complies with DOH regulations to operate medical equipment in a safe and courteous manner. Maintains order among passengers during trips to ensure safety. Checks the condition of medical equipment to ensure working order. Reports any malfunctions or repairs needed. Assists pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations, following schedules. Maintains knowledge of first-aid procedures. Prepares and submits reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption, or fares received. Reads maps and follows written and verbal geographic directions. Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort. Keeps bus interiors clean for passengers. Reports delays, accidents. or other traffic and transportation situations.Job Qualifications Education:
