Overview Join our dedicated team as a Stretcher Attendant and become a vital part of delivering compassionate, efficient patient care. In this energetic role, you will assist emergency medical personnel by safely transporting patients on stretchers, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help facilitate smooth patient transfers, contributing to positive health outcomes and exceptional service delivery. Duties Assist emergency medical teams by safely lifting, moving, and transporting patients on stretchers to and from ambulances, hospitals, or treatment areas. Ensure the proper securing and stabilization of patients during transport to prevent further injury or discomfort. Maintain clear communication with medical staff to relay patient condition updates and follow specific handling instructions. Prepare stretchers for use by inspecting cleanliness, functionality, and safety features before each transfer. Follow established safety protocols and infection control procedures at all times to protect patients and staff. Help maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of stretchers, equipment, and transport areas to uphold hygiene standards. Document patient transfer details accurately in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Respond promptly to emergency situations with professionalism, demonstrating agility and resilience under pressure. Qualifications Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver patients on stretchers safely while adhering to proper body mechanics. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with medical teams and other staff members. Strong attention to detail to ensure patient safety and proper documentation. Physical stamina and mobility to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts. Basic understanding of healthcare safety standards; prior experience in emergency services or healthcare support is a plus but not required. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude.
