Description The Emergency Medicine (EM) and Critical Care Institutes at University Hospitals are seeking compassionate, skilled professionals to join our patient-centered care teams. Qualifications Education Depending the role - Graduated from a state accredited EMT or paramedic program (Required) Work Experience EMT Driving experience and or Paramedic Experience (required) Previous Paramedic experience (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Able to communicate effectively with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds; able to organize changing work assignments. (Required proficiency) Medical terminology. (Preferred proficiency) Patient care equipment specific to assigned population, telephone, beeper system, and nurse call system. Three Peer Reviews required for Level II and III Criteria to Promote and Maintain (five for Level II; seven for Level III) Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) (Preferred/Required) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred/Required) State of Ohio Paramedic Certification required.
