Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

•This is a 1099 position•AMF is looking for individuals to help assist our veterans/patients with transportation throughout the DFW metroplex. Work for AMF includes getting our veterans/patients to/from dialysis and doctor's/therapy appointments. We use commercial vans with hydraulic lifts as well as wheelchair mini vans with ramps. Hours of operation vary based on appointments. We're looking for full and part-time help.

Must haves:

Must safely operate a wheelchair van to transport passengers to their destinations Be punctual, dependable, have excellent customer service Be able to work at least one Saturday a month Must be able to demonstrate understanding and sensitivity of the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities. Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely arrivals and departures Assist patients with boarding and disembarking while ensuring their safety and comfort Must adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving Maintain cleanliness and organization of the van Perform and document routine inspections and maintenance on the van to ensure its proper functioning Communicate effectively with passengers and address their needs or concerns Strong driving skills, including the ability to navigate through different routes and traffic conditions Must possess a valid driver's license with no major traffic violations including suspensions, DUI and DWI. (Minor violations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis). Please note that a valid driver's license, clean background and MVR is required for this position.
