The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, strong customer service abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle. This role is essential in ensuring patients receive their medical care comfortably and on schedule, contributing to the overall well-being of the community. Duties Safely operate vans, or other commercial vehicles to transport patients to and from medical appointments. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring comfort and safety at all times. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, including routine inspections and reporting any issues. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation routes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns. Ensure proper documentation of trips, mileage, and passenger information as required. Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, respectful, and attentive to passenger needs. Assist with heavy lifting or mobility aids when necessary to support passenger safety. Experience Previous shuttle driving or delivery driver experience preferred; experience with bus driving or paratransit services is a plus. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and maintaining vehicle safety standards is desirable. Experience in commercial driving, including limousine or school bus driving, is advantageous. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with passengers and team members effectively. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics will be beneficial for ensuring vehicle reliability. Candidates should hold a valid driver's license or equivalent appropriate for commercial or passenger transport vehicles.
