As a stretcher van driver, you will be responsible for transporting non-emergency patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities. Your primary duties will include safely operating a stretcher van, assisting patients in and out of the vehicle, and ensuring timely arrival at scheduled appointments.
Responsibilities:
Safely transfer patients from a bed or wheelchair onto a gurney Transport patients to and from medical related facilities. Insure the comfort and safety of patients throughout the ride Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving Maintain a clean and organized vehicle Operate a stretcher van to transport non-emergency patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities. Provide compassionate and courteous service to patients and their families, including assistance with boarding and exiting the vehicle and handling personal belongings. Adhere to all safety and operational procedures, including pre-trip inspections, loading and unloading of equipment and supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized vehicle. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient transport, including mileage, time of arrival, and any other pertinent information. Communicate effectively with dispatch, medical staff, and patients to ensure timely and efficient service.
Qualifications:
MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OLD
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check Can meet requirements: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification , clean background, professional conduct. Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse patient population Experience in patient transportation or healthcare field preferred but not required Emergency Medical Training preferred but not required Must be able to lift 100 pounds.
