Job Requirements A Day in the Life of a Medical Transporter Under the supervision of the Patient Transport Manager, the Medical Transporter is responsible for providing safe transportation for patients and supplies. Delivers medications and equipment to various facilities. Cleans vehicles and performs maintenance checks regularly. Why Work at Cheyenne Regional? What You Will Be Doing:
Ensures vehicles are ready for service by washing, cleaning, refueling and restocking weekly. Performs a bi-weekly vehicle service checks to include oil, transmission, washer fluid, tires, cameras and seats. Conducts preventative maintenance on wheelchair lifts including lubrication and minor repairs. Responds to requests for transportation via handheld device. Assists in loading and unloading patients in and out of vehicles, assists patients into and out of their homes. Reports on transportation services provided and the abilities of the patient, including any changes in condition to hospital staff. Delivers medication, equipment, and supplies to various facilities. Drives vehicles in a safe and responsible manner utilizing defensive driving skills. Participates in department projects and committees as assigned. Ability to be dependable and resourceful Computer skills
