The Motor Coach Driver is responsible for safely operating and transporting motor coaches between company locations, service centers, storage facilities, and designated destinations. This position focuses on the safe handling, inspection, and delivery of vehicles while maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely drive motor coaches between terminals, maintenance shops, storage lots, and customer locations as directed. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and proper operation. Report any maintenance issues, damage, or mechanical concerns immediately to the appropriate department. Follow assigned routes and schedules while complying with all traffic laws and DOT regulations. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and trip details. Keep the coach clean, fueled, and ready for passenger use when required. Operate vehicles in a safe, professional manner representing the company positively at all times.
Qualifications:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement (P). Clean driving record and proven experience operating large motor coaches or commercial vehicles. Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must pass background check, and drug screening.
Working Conditions:
May require driving long distances or during varied weather conditions. Frequent vehicle inspections and light physical activity (fueling, cleaning, etc.).
