Job Description
Duties:
- Perform physical labor to assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of household or commercial goods
- Safely and efficiently pack, wrap, and secure items to prevent damage during transportation
- Drive company vehicles, such as box trucks or vans, to transport goods to designated locations
- Follow established routes or use GPS to navigate to customer locations
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a smooth moving process
- Use manual transmission vehicles as needed
- Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment to load and unload heavy items
Skills:
- Experience in moving or related fields is preferred but not required
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including manual transmission
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers
- Familiarity with using GPS devices for navigation
- Knowledge of proper packing and securing techniques for safe transportation of goods
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus
- Experience in route driving or courier services is beneficial Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
