Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Delivery Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the timely and safe delivery of furniture items to our customers' homes and businesses. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. You will work closely with the driver to load, transport, and unload furniture, ensuring that all items arrive in pristine condition. As a Delivery Helper, you play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by handling products with care and maintaining professional etiquette. Previous experience in delivery, moving, or manual labor is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This is an independent contractor position with a per diem paid out on Friday, daily tips split among workers evenly. Responsibilities Assist in loading and unloading furniture from delivery trucks safely and efficiently with driver and other helper. Help transport furniture items to customers' homes or business locations with care. Ensure all furniture is handled carefully to prevent damage during delivery. Communicate effectively with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Protect and secure furniture during transport using straps, blankets, and other equipment. Report any damages, missing items, or delivery issues promptly to the Driver. Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles and equipment. Requirements Ability to lift heavy furniture items (up to 75 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow directions accurately. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Punctuality and reliability with a strong work ethic. Valid driver's license and Social Security Card Basic knowledge of handling furniture and moving techniques is a plus. Willingness to work flexible hours including Tuesday-Saturday High school diploma not required
