In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling the movement, loading, and unloading of goods within our distribution center. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and timely order fulfillment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment and contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment where safety and teamwork are paramount. Duties Safely load and unload shipments using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes. Assist with order picking and packing processes utilizing RF scanners and warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy. Transport materials throughout the warehouse, including stacking, organizing, and storing items in designated areas. Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safety protocols outlined by OSHA standards. Participate in shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming/outgoing items against documentation. Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and updates within warehouse management systems. Operate material handling equipment responsibly, including forklift operation, clamp trucks, and other heavy machinery, ensuring mechanical knowledge is applied for safe use. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related logistics roles with a solid understanding of warehouse operations. Prior experience as an order picker or in shipping & receiving environments is highly desirable. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other material handling machinery—certification preferred. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and RF scanners for accurate order picking and stock control. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks consistently throughout shifts. Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and data entry tasks related to warehouse activities. Construction or mechanical knowledge is a plus for understanding equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
