Furniture Delivery and Installation

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Furniture Delivery and Installation Specialist! In this energetic role, you will be the face of our company, ensuring that customers receive their furniture safely, efficiently, and with exceptional service. Your expertise in driving, heavy lifting, and precise installation will help transform our customers' spaces into their dream environments. Must be able to pass criminal background check. Opportunities for prevailing wage installations also available at times. Responsibilities Safely operate various commercial vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to deliver furniture to locations throughout central Illinois. Installation team is typically back in our office prior to 4 PM daily, although some overnight installations do arise at times. Load and unload furniture using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual lifting techniques, ensuring items are handled with care. Execute precise route driving to meet delivery schedules while maintaining adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols. Install furniture accurately according to customer specifications, including assembly and placement within designated spaces. Provide outstanding customer service by communicating clearly, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction during delivery and setup. Conduct thorough inspections of delivered items for damages or defects before installation. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and safety records throughout each shift. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles requiring manual transmission operation. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and positively with clients. Experience in warehouse operations, including heavy lifting, moving furniture safely, and using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks. Knowledge of route planning and driving regulations for commercial deliveries. Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting, moving large or heavy furniture items repeatedly throughout the day. Familiarity with installation processes for furniture or similar products is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a courier or delivery driver is highly valued.
