Job Description

Caring Transitions Evanston & Skokie is seeking a dependable, hardworking Junk Hauler / Mover to assist with residential moves, cleanouts, downsizing projects, estate transitions, and donation/disposal services. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys physical work, working as part of a team, and helping seniors and families through important life transitions. Compensation & Benefits $20.00 per hour + tips Part-time / project-based position Eligible for 401(k) benefits after one year of employment Opportunity for additional hours based on project volume and availability Responsibilities Load, unload, move, and transport furniture, boxes, household goods, and other items. Assist with residential moves, downsizing projects, estate cleanouts, and junk removal. Sort items for donation, disposal, recycling, or relocation. Safely move heavy furniture and belongings while protecting clients' homes and property. Load trucks and trailers efficiently and securely. Deliver items to donation centers, disposal facilities, storage units, and other locations. Assist with packing, unpacking, furniture placement, and project cleanup as needed. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Provide professional, courteous, and respectful service in clients' homes. Follow direction from project leadership and work collaboratively with the Caring Transitions team. Qualifications Ability to lift and carry 50-75 lbs. and perform physical work throughout a shift. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred. Previous moving, junk removal, delivery, warehouse, landscaping, or similar physical-work experience preferred but not required. Comfortable working in homes, garages, basements, storage units, and other environments. Ability to handle clients' belongings carefully and respectfully. Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Flexible availability based on scheduled client projects. We're looking for someone who is dependable, trustworthy, patient, respectful, and compassionate , while also being comfortable with the physical demands of moving and cleanout work.
Pay:
$20/hour + tips

Evanston, Skokie, Glenview, Morton Grove and surrounding areas
Schedule:
Varies based on client projects; weekday and occasional weekend availability may be required.
