Job Summary Work duties/ Responsibilities to include but not limited to are as follows Feeding and mixing of feed for birds Picking up feed from local feed store Refilling Grits and minerals. Cleaning waters and filling fresh water daily Cleaning pens daily and installing fresh hay as needed Installing bands on baby pigeons as needed Record keeping of baby pigeons Inputting data in Pigeon Data Base Software. Training the racing pigeons during race seasons. Which will require a valid driver's license. March 1st through June 27th August 1st through November 1st Putting together shipping boxes and loading birds in them and putting shipping addresses on labels. Taking birds to post office at 4pm Listing birds online for auction. Minor Carpentry work as needed. Miscellaneous duties as needed Work closely with loft owner and report task completed daily Always keep an organized work area Location 10615 N 103rd W Sedgwick, KS 67135 Requirements and Qualifications for position but not limited to Hours are 8-5 Monday-Friday not every day will take 8hrs Dependability is a must!!! 9am-11am Saturday Some after hours are required. Drug and alcohol free No experience needed, will teach. Attention to detail is a must. Some computer skills Ability to measure medication Must be able to use email and communicate by cell phone. Strong customer service skills with ability to answer any questions Ability to positively work as a team and communicate broadly and effectively Ability to perform task with minimal supervision Demonstrate professionalism and respect for self and others with desire to learn Benefits Friendly work environment Great culture and family like environment Earned PTO Eight (8) paid holidays Weekly pay ($700) Flexible hours Salary pay is $36,400 per year.
