Position Information Title Mover
Position Description The Central Receiving, Inventory, Mail and Moving Services Department (CRIMM) provides Bridgewater State University customers accurate, up-to-date, inventory control recordkeeping and reporting. This complies with all Federal and State laws and University policies and procedures regarding the intake, deployment, and disposal of institutional assets. CRIMM is looking to hire Movers that will assist with:
Moving and/or disposing of various types of furniture, equipment, and other assets throughout all University spaces
Delivering items received at our warehouse to a specific location on campus
Delivering event equipment
Delivering files to departments or picking them up to be stored or shredded
Delivering custodial products to various buildings across campus
Delivering documents for the copy center
Relocating faculty/staff belongings to different offices
Prepping areas for renovations or repurposing
Other duties as assigned Your work schedule would be self-created, following the guidelines listed below and with prior supervisor approval:
Department operating hours are Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM
Maximum of 20 hours per week
Unable to work during a scheduled class regardless of it being on-campus or virtual
Work shifts can't start or end within 15 minutes of a class starting or ending
Work shift start and end times must be in 15 min increments, such as 8:00, 8:15, 8:30, 8:45
A 30-minute break must be included after working a continuous 6-hour shift Eligibility requirements:
Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.
Preferred Qualifications Requirements:
Valid driver's license and a good driving record Strong work ethic Ability to communicate effectively in a team Good attitude Reliable to be on time for every work shift Attention to detail OrganizedResponsible Preferred Qualifications:
