Job Description
Company Overview 5 Star Co-Host is a luxury vacation rental management company built on the South Shore of Massachusetts - and we're growing fast. We manage a curated portfolio of high-end waterfront homes across Scituate and the South Shore, and we treat every property like it's our own. Our housekeeping team is the backbone of everything we do. We're not a faceless agency farming out gigs - we're a small, tight-knit operation where every person on the ground is known, valued, and invested in. We communicate clearly, pay fairly, provide everything you need to do your job well, and we're building something here that has real runway. If you want flexible work in beautiful homes with a team that actually has it together, you've found it. Position Summary The Property Runner keeps our South Shore homes running behind the scenes. You'll spend your time driving between properties in the Scituate and Plymouth area, taking trash bins to the curb and back, making supply runs, doing quick property checks, taking care of small fixes, and being our first set of eyes when something needs attention. Your job is to keep the basics covered and flag anything bigger so the team can jump on it. Key Responsibilities Manage trash and waste: move bins to and from the curb on pickup days, and make occasional dump and bulk-item runs Make supply runs: pick up, drop off, and restock consumables and household supplies across properties Walk assigned properties between stays to catch issues early, bring in packages, and prep homes for storms or seasonal changes Handle light maintenance: replace batteries, bulbs, and filters and make simple fixes, documenting and flagging anything larger with photos Act as the first set of eyes on property issues — gather information and photos so the team can coordinate the right vendor Meet vendors, contractors, or cleaners on site when someone needs to be present Communicate promptly with the team via Slack and other apps throughout the day Required Qualifications Valid driver's license, a reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance (this role requires daily driving between properties) Lives within approximately 30 minutes of Scituate / Plymouth, MA Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all seasons Comfortable using a smartphone for work: team messaging, scheduling apps, and photo documentation Self-directed and reliable, able to work independently without daily supervision and good at following a checklist Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check Compensation & Schedule Hourly Rate $20 - $28 Schedule It's a flexible, part-time role with an as-needed schedule. Most work falls on weekdays between 10 AM and 4 PM, driven by fixed anchors like trash pickup days and the turnover calendar but you will have some flexibility in daily timing within that window. Hours vary week to week and increase in peak season (late spring through fall). Occasional weekend or same-day coverage is required for guest turnovers and urgent property needs.
