Position Summary:

Scherer Bros. Lumber Co. is seeking motivated individuals for a full-time, seasonal Summer Truck Helper position at our Shakopee location. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a team. Truck Helpers assist drivers with daily deliveries, including loading, unloading, and handling building materials such as windows and doors.

Schedule:

Full-time, seasonal position (summer months) Monday-Friday, daytime hours No evenings or weekends

Key Responsibilities:

Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading materials at job sites Safely handle and transport building materials, including heavy windows and doors Ride along on delivery routes and support efficient, accurate deliveries Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Qualifications:

Ability to lift and carry heavy materials on a regular basis Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Team-oriented with a positive attitude Prior construction, delivery, or warehouse experience is a plus, but not required Why Join Scherer Bros.
