Company Overview Ferguson Transfer Company is a local, family-owned business with a proud history of providing household moving and storage services on the Southern Oregon Coast for over 80 years. Overview We are seeking energetic and dependable Mover/Packer team members to join our dynamic moving crew. In this role, you will be actively involved in packing, loading, unloading, and transporting household items with precision and care. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure smooth moves for our customers while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Duties Assist with packing, wrapping, and securing household belongings for transport Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts Safely operate commercial vehicles including box trucks and other driver vehicles for route driving and deliveries Use manual transmission vehicles confidently during load & unload operations and route driving tasks Handle heavy lifting of furniture and boxes to prevent damage and ensure safety Maintain organization of moving supplies and packing materials in the warehouse or storage areas Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients during moves and deliveries Experience Previous warehouse experience or moving industry background preferred but not required; training will be provided Experience with commercial driving, including box trucks or driver roles, is a plus Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities, route driving, and load & unload procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy moving schedules Knowledge of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or other loading tools is advantageous Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients throughout the moving process Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission vehicles is desirable Join our team at Ferguson Transfer Company where your energy fuels seamless moves!
