Cannabis Trimmer (1099 Subcontractor)
Location:
Veneta, OR Job Description:
We are seeking detail-oriented, reliable, and efficient Cannabis Trimmers to join our cultivation/processing team on a 1099 subcontractor basis. As a trimmer, you will be responsible for manicuring harvested cannabis plants with precision and care to ensure top-quality flower is prepared for curing, packaging, and distribution. This is an ongoing gig depending on harvest cycles and work availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Trim harvested cannabis flower with attention to aesthetics and quality. Maintain speed and productivity while ensuring product integrity. Remove excess leaves and stems according to company standards. Ensure cleanliness of workstation and follow sanitation protocols. Weigh and record trimmed product accurately. Handle product carefully to minimize damage or loss. Follow all applicable compliance and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
Requirements:
Previous cannabis trimming experience
REQUIRED
. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand movements. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have a valid Marijuana Worker's Permit. Must pass any state-required background check or obtain required licenses (where applicable). Reliable transportation to and from work site. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends during harvest seasons.
Compensation:
Pay Structure:
In exchange for the services provided by the Contractor, the Client agrees to pay the following: $50.00/lb of trimmed material. The Client will pay for services on the 2nd and 17th of each month. Sometimes the payments will occur after the 2nd or 17th respectively, given bank processing times, holidays, or other process-related delays. 1099
Independent Contractor:
You are responsible for your own taxes and recordkeeping. The Contractor will supply their own materials needed to perform the services. a. Scissors b. Alcohol (or other acceptable scissor cleaning products)
Additional Notes:
This is not an employee position. Contractors must provide their own tools if required (e.g., trimming scissors). Must sign a subcontractor agreement before starting work. Adherence to strict confidentiality and compliance standards is required. Compensation average range for per pound work only: $200 - $300
